Bendigo Bank
From its very early history Bendigo Bank has sought to engage with the communities in which we operate. Whether it be providing funding for building houses during the gold rush or somewhat more recently, raising funds for the redevelopment of a Hydro Pool complex in suburban Melbourne Bendigo Bank always has the success of its communities at the forefront.
The way Bendigo Bank partners with its community is as varied and unique as the individuals that work for the organisation.
South Melbourne branch, in particular, is located in the heart of the City of Port Phillip and many of the partnerships developed by the branch involve both the business sector but also the not-for-profit and community based organisations within the precinct.
Elwood Community Bank® Branch is a franchise of Bendigo Bank and was primarily established to restore banking services back to Elwood and the surrounding areas. This partnership formed with Bendigo Bank nine years ago sees many City of Port Phillip residents as shareholders in the Elwood Community Bank® Branch. Profits are continually being distributed to many groups and organisations throughout the area.

St Kilda Festival
31 January is Yalukit Wilam Ngargee, People, Place Gathering: an outdoor Indigenous festival featuring music, dance, children’s activities and more that welcomes people to St Kilda for the week ahead, O’Donnell Gardens.
