2008 Award Categories

 

For 2008, 7 new award categories encourage every excellent business in the City of Port Phillip to highlight its outstanding achievements and share stories of success.

The award categories recognise the diversity of business within the City of Port Phillip.

To be eligible for an award, businesses must demonstrate how they have delivered excellence in the category.

Businesses are welcome to enter one or more of the following categories:

1. Creative Industries

Businesses that focus on providing business-to-business creative services such as advertising, public relations and marketing or creating intellectual property products such as music, books and film. Live performance experiences are also included.

2. Environmental Sustainability

Businesses committed to reducing their ecological footprint through the incorporation of environmentally sustainable practices.

3. Health & Wellbeing

Businesses that demonstrate commitment to, the promotion and enhancement of health & well being of the Port Phillip community. This may include but is not limited to health & lifestyle services, fitness, sport & recreation, and cultural services.

4. Innovation & Entrepreneurship

Businesses that have demonstrated excellence in product or service innovation through the development and differentiation of  new and existing products, or in business operations.

5. Partnerships

Businesses that have partnered with a community group to work cooperatively on a project or have significantly contributed professional resources to the Port Phillip community

6. Service Excellence

Businesses that demonstrate excellence in providing consistently high levels of  customer service to attract and retain clientele.

7. Tourism & Hospitality

Businesses that provide a tourism experience, including accommodation, attractions, entertainment and related services and business in the hospitality industry, including restaurants, bars and cafes.
