Entry & Judging Process

 

Nominations

You must first be nominated to enter the awards, by yourself or another person. Nominations open on Monday 12 May. Award entries close on Friday 1 August. You will receive an email confirming receipt of your application.

"Being the first type of awards nomination process we have been through, it was a learning experience to find out how others viewed our business. The questions were asked in such a way to challenge your way of thinking. The process is relatively painless and does not take up too much time."

 

Information Session

An information session will held at the St Kilda Town Hall on  Wednesday 18 June - 6pm - 7.30pm.
The information session will provide the opportunity for you to ask questions about how to complete your application.

Entry

Once a nomination has been submitted, an entry form will be sent and/or emailed.

You must complete the entry form and then submit FIVE hard copies of the completed entry form and FIVE hard copies of support material.

Entries and support material will not be returned, so please ensure you have a complete copy for your own records.

Entries must be in A4 format. Number and name each page. Staple each set in the top left-hand corner but do NOT bind. The deadline for all entries is 5pm Friday 1 August 2008.

Support material may be included if relevant. Keep it to a minimum. Examples of support material include:

• Marketing and communications material
• News clippings
• Testimonials
• Research
• CD’s and videos may only be included if relevant to your nomination.

Judging

An independent panel of judges will make the decisions regarding applications. Judges will come from a variety of backgrounds, including business and government. Judges reserve the right to nominate your business for other categories if deemed necessary.

Finalists

The judges will view all entries and finalists in each category will be invited to attend an interview in August.

Winners Announced

Winners will be chosen from these finalists. Winners of the awards will be announced at the Awards Gala Presentation at St Kilda Town Hall on Thursday 30 October 2008.
